De Ligt signs a contract to join Manchester United

It’s almost time for Matthijs de Ligt to head to Old Trafford. Manchester United and Bayern Munich have agreed to pay 45 million euros plus five million euros in variable fees for the player’s move.

De Ligt Matthijs is en route to the Premier League. After reaching a mutual agreement, the Dutch center back will join Manchester United and depart Bayern Munich.

The agreement between Bayern and Manchester United was revealed by “The Athletic.” For the defender, the Red Devils will give the Bavarians 45 million euros in addition to five million euros in variable fees.

Among the players that made an impression at Ajax in 2019 is De Ligt. Juventus outperformed every team in Europe that was interested in him, but his performance fell short of the high expectations that were placed on him.

He then signed with another major European team, Bayern Munich, but was unable to make an impression at the Allianz Arena. After playing in the Bundesliga and Serie A, he will now play in three major leagues.

The Dutch center defender is expected to sign a five-year contract with an additional season option after undergoing a medical with the English team in the coming days.

This won’t be Manchester United’s only move; according to the same source, West Ham is expected to pay 15 million euros to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
