Willian Pacho commits to PSG through 2029

PSG has added a new player. Willian Pacho, a center back, joins the French team from Eintracht and pledges to stay until 2029. He can take pride in being the first member of the club from Ecuador, making history.

Willian Pacho, an international footballer from Ecuador, has signed a deal with Paris Saint-Germain through 2029. He is the first player of that nationality to play for the French team. Pacho arrives from Eintracht in Germany.

PSG president Nasser Al Khlelaifi released a statement describing the addition of “a fantastic young international player” and “a great talent” to the team.

Pacho expressed his “great happiness” at joining the team led by Spanish coach Luis Enrique Mart<0xC3><0xAD>nez, adding that he intends to contribute his “personality” and “demonstrate” his “unwavering will to win numerous trophies.”

The 22-year-old center defender from Quininde, who joined Independiente del Valle in 2017 at the age of 16, finished his youth development there. He will wear the number 51 shirt for his new team.

He made his Serie A debut in September 2019, won the Copa Sudamericana and Copa Libertadores U20 with that team, and won the national title in 2021.

After moving to Antwerp, Belgium, in January 2022, he moved to Europe. There, he appeared in 53 games and won the league and cup in the same season. He signed a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt the next year, and he played 44 games for them the previous campaign.

Pacho made his international debut on March 28, 2023, in a friendly match against Australia, when he scored a goal that helped his team win 2-1. However, he was initially selected for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He participated in the Copa America as a member of the “Tricolor,” appearing in 16 matches while donning the national jersey and tallying two goals.
