Aubameyang is welcomed by Al Qadsiah

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has agreed to a two-year contract with Al Qadsiah, a Saudi Pro League (SPL) team.

After spending just one season with the Ligue 1 team, the 35-year-old has parted ways with Marseille.

Aubameyang will be partnered with Nacho, a former Real Madrid defender who signed a two-year contract to join Al Qadsiah earlier this summer.

The international player from Gabon announced on Instagram that he will be leaving France before the 2024–25 campaign.

“I want to thank the entire club, the staff, my teammates, and our supporters for what has been an emotional year,” Aubameyang remarked.

I’m stronger because of you, and I’ll always cherish our time together.

We’ve decided to stick with this choice for the duration of my career because, as you may know, I’ve always listened to my father’s counsel, which has helped me become the player I am today. This is where I need to start over in my life.

Al Qadsiah’s sporting director, Carlos Anton, has been traveling over Europe for weeks trying to convince a few players to sign. They have emerged as one of the most active clubs in the transfer market, according to SPL sources.

In contrast, Aubameyang completed his transfer from Chelsea to Marseille in July of last year. In 51 games across all competitions, he scored 30 goals and provided 11 assists.

After moving to Stamford Bridge for £12 million, he scored just three goals in his debut season for the west London club from Barcelona.

With Arsenal, Aubameyang made 163 appearances and scored 92 goals. In addition, he played for Dijon, Lille, Monaco, Saint-Etienne, and Borussia Dortmund.
