In the sixth Euro 2024 competition, Cristiano Ronaldo sets the record

Cristiano Ronaldo, a player who has been in six European Championships, made history on Tuesday when Portugal took on Czechia to start their 2024 campaign.

The 39-year-old will try to win back the championship that Portugal took home in 2016, winning their first European crown with a 1-0 victory over the host nation, France.

Ronaldo made his Euros debut in 2004, scoring his first goal against Czechia, and 20 years later, Portugal will face the same team in their opening match of Ronaldo’s sixth championship.

Ronaldo celebrated his first day with the national team, recalling the journey filled with challenges and victories. He now shares the honor of being part of a team of champions, brimming with talent and determination.

The text encourages everyone to unite and fight for another triumph, urging Portugal to go for victory with their strength and support.

Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals by any player in European Championship history, with 14 goals, and his personal record is five goals in one campaign in 2020. Portugal’s Pepe became the oldest player in European Championship history at 41 years and 113 days.

Pepe, a former Hungary goalkeeper, has set a new record for the oldest player in a Euro 2016 match against Belgium. Despite Portugal’s talented attacking lineup, Ronaldo remains the team’s most prolific striker and will captain the team for the tournament.
