Man City unveils an iconic away uniform for the next season

The 2024–2025 Manchester City away uniforms were presented on Thursday. The 1999 play-off championship game, in which they overcame Gillingham and were promoted to the English Premier League, served as the model for the new uniform.

Classics never go out of style. Manchester City debuted their new away uniform for the 2024-2025 season on Thursday. The outfit consists of vibrant yellow and black stripes with little blue stripes to balance off the other colors.

Puma is the outfit’s sponsor, just as the others. However, this kit doesn’t look recognizable. The Sky Blues wished to honor one of the club’s great occasions, which is regarded as a watershed in City’s past.

Consider May 30, 1999, when they defeated Gillingham on penalties after trailing by two goals in the Second Division play-off final. The vibrant yellow and navy-striped uniform the team wore that day holds a particular position in fan culture, the team stated on their website.

For the forthcoming season, they have decided to produce this kit in honor of that accomplishment’s 25th anniversary. For the Manchester United video commercial, players like Erling Haaland, Ruben Dias, and Kevin De Bruyne posed in the new jersey.
