Man United-connected Adrien Rabiot discusses leaving Juventus in quiet

Adrien Rabiot, a midfielder linked to Manchester United, posted a moving message on social media after finishing his five-year stay at Juventus.

  • Rabiot declined a Juventus contract extension
  • wants to take on a new professional challenge
  • Man United are in the lead to sign him

Rabiot’s five-year career with the Italian powerhouse Juventus came to a formal end when his contract expired at the end of June. After declining a generous two-year contract extension worth €7.5 million (£6.3 million/$8.1 million) yearly, plus bonuses, the 29-year-old left the team.

Rabiot thought about his history for a time before launching into the future. He thanked the Juventus community on Instagram in a heartfelt farewell post.

“This is my note of farewell and gratitude after five seasons at Juventus and five years in Turin,” the athlete wrote. “To everyone who has supported me. The club and every employee. And you, followers, are always near and incredibly loving! Thank you, @juventus, for everything.” Good luck and good bye.”

Since Rabiot has always wanted to play in the Premier League, it seems like United is in the lead when it comes to signing him. Caught Offside claims that United has held discussions with Rabiot and his mother, who acts as his agent. The Red Devils are apparently in a good position to sign him because they are willing to offer him a salary in the range of €8-9 million (£6.75m-£7.59m/$8.67m-$9.76m) per year, along with a signing bonus, despite the fact that other elite clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Galatasaray have expressed interest.

Rabiot has won one Scudetto, two Coppa Italia championships, and one Supercoppa Italiana during his five years at Juventus. In 212 games for Bianconeri, he managed to record 15 assists and 22 goals.
