Sadly for Milan, Morata will not be back until mid-September

Not everything is going well for Alvaro Morata, even though he scored in his Milan debut. The attacker will be sidelined for three weeks due to a quadriceps injury, which he already experienced when playing against Torino. The player will return after the September international break, but he will not be available to play in the Nations League match between Spain and Switzerland.

Alvaro Morata, the Spain international, sustained a quadriceps injury on Saturday during his Milan debut against Torin, where he scored and helped his team to a late equalizer. He will heal over the course of two to three weeks.

Morata was already sidelined at the San Siro for the last 30 minutes on Tuesday, according to sources from the Italian media. The pain he was experiencing later developed into a more serious injury, which will prevent him from playing in the next two Serie A matches against Parma and Lazio.

Unless anything unexpected happens, the injury will keep him from playing for the Spanish national team in the Nations League. The captain is suspended, thus he won’t play against Serbia on September 5 and could not be fully recovered for Switzerland on September 8.

Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor will compete for the forward position left empty by the Spaniard after the latter earned his spot in the starting lineup following his debut at the San Siro.
