UEFA and adidas have unveiled the FUSSBALLLIEBE, the official match ball for UEFA EURO 2024

The adidas Connected Ball Technology will debut at a UEFA EURO, aimed at enhancing football enthusiasts’ passion for competition.

UEFA and adidas unveiled the Official Match Ball of UEFA EURO 2024, FUSSBALLLIEBE, at a special ceremony in Berlin, which will be used in the championship match.

FUSSBALLLIEBE, a German football brand, introduced adidas Connected Ball Technology for the first time at a UEFA EURO, providing detailed insights into the ball’s movement and aiding video aid refereeing. The CTR-CORE, designed for precision and consistency, supports the ball’s outer shell for quick, accurate play.

FUSSBALLLIEBE’s design features large black wing shapes with vibrant edges, curves, and dots, showcasing the ball’s movement and game intensity. The bright hues of orange, green, blue, and red evoke enthusiasm and simplicity in football, appealing to fans worldwide. The ball features images of stadiums used in competitions and host towns.

FUSSBALLLIEBE uses recycled polyester and water-based ink, and it is made of more environmentally friendly bio-based materials than any previous adidas Official Match Ball. Each layer of the ball has been filled with materials such as rubber, sugar cane, wood pulp, corn fibers, and others.

FUSSBALLLIEBE, a football event, will debut at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, marking the start of a five-day celebration. The event will feature freestyle matches, spectator testing, and special appearances by UEFA EURO heroes. Adidas plans a roadshow in nine host cities to promote the event, offering freebies and pop-up football facilities. Each city will receive nine hundred extra balls to support local nonprofits, teams, and educational institutions.

The official match ball for FUSSBALLLIEBE is available for purchase on adidas.com and select retail stores. A 1% portion of net sales goes to Common Goal, a humanitarian effort launched by streetfootballworld and Juan Mata as a partner of the UEFA Foundation for Children, which aids high-impact football organizations in addressing social challenges.

UEFA EURO 2024 will take place from June 14 to July 14, 2024, in various German cities, including Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, and Munich.
